Simon W Desmond Catering

We are a bespoke catering company operating from a beautiful farmhouse in Baltimore, West Cork. Simon has worked for two decades in some of the finest food establishments including The Griffin Inn (Fletching), The River Cafe (London), Ballymaloe House Co (Cork) and his own restaurant at The Oak Charing (Kent) where he was awarded an ‘AA’ Rosette for his food.

In 2023 Simon and his family – wife Alice and son Otto took the step of emigrating from the UK to Ireland… Simon had roots in West Cork from where in the 1800’s his family had had a farm in Drinagh West, emigrated in the famine for a generation and returned to Cork in the 1870’s…

By purchasing a farmhouse and its outbuildings we have planned to create a sustainable business utilising Solar Power for our heavy equipment and growing as much as we can on our small holding..

We cater for all kinds of events such Weddings, Christenings, First Holy Communions, Confirmations, Corporate Events, Private Parties and other events in West Cork

Simon has an especially calm and meticulous working attitude. We work within all budgets and aim to provide all your needs for your event.
